Getting Here
The closest airport is Queenstown Airport (ZQN), just 20 minutes from the venue.
From Christchurch, the Winehouse is about five and a half hours drive. We recommend renting a car if you’re flying in, or coordinating rides with friends, as Ubers can be limited in the area. Parking is available at the venue if you choose to drive.
Where to stay
There are a handful of charming Airbnbs, boutique hotels, and rentals in and around Gibbston. We recommend Arrowtown, Frankton or Queenstown as these areas are around a 20-minute drive or less from the venue.
The shuttle bus before and after the wedding will make stops at these three locations (Arrowtown, Frankton and Queenstown).
Arrowtown
The closest location to the wedding venue and only a 15min drive from Queenstown airport. Lots of great little Bnb’s and Airbnb’s to choose from, and some great little cafes and shops to check out.
Queenstown
Plenty of great accommodation options here. The furthest away from the venue, about a 25min drive, but plenty of gorgeous shops and cafés right at your doorstep.
Frankton
Frankton is very close to the airport and has plenty of affordable accommodation options. Only a short drive into Queenstown, and about a 20 min drive to the wedding venue.
A few favourite spots in the area—whether you’re in need of coffee, a little retail therapy, or just a quiet moment. There are plenty of great walks, golf courses and wineries in the area too - something for everyone.

Ayrburn
A beautiful spot just outside Arrowtown with incredible restaurants and bars all in one place. Perfect for a long lunch, sunset drinks or dinner.
Fergbaker/burger
We are sure you’ve all heard of this one, but the best pies/ burgers in the area (in our opinion!) Our faves are the steak and cheese (Hazz) or venison red wine (Becky) pies and the Ferg Delux burger.
Vudu Cafe
Great little cafe right on the Queenstown waterfront. A good flat white and great for brunch – make sure to sit out the back for the best view of the lake (and maybe some live music!).
Cardrona Pub
One of our favourites. A great relaxed pub in Cardrona Valley, perfect for a glass of wine or a big bottle of Speights and a bowl of chips.
